A great article in the NY Times (read it HERE) about how physical exercise can reduce (but NOT eliminate) increased risk of heart disease caused by high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and large waistlines.
“Over all, people in the lowest exercise category had about twice the risk of dying from heart disease as those in the middle group and six times the risk of those in the group who exercised the most often and vigorously.”
If that is not reason enough to get out and go for a walk, get to the gym, or start using that piece of equipment currently holding up your drying laundry, I don’t know what is!!
MORAL OF THE STORY: Get up and MOVE!!
